Bought this for my son’s bedroom. the comforter is very soft and I love the vibrant colors. We did have a slight tear on the top of the comforter after the carpet cleaner put a semi-sharp and heavy toy and top of the bed. I think the material on the top is a little thinner than I would like. Overall its a decent product.

Had the same problem with fading after one wash and actually had it tear in two spots on the bedspread….Looks terrible!!! I’m retuning it for a refund and continue looking for something cute for my son’s room.

I actually bought this set directly from Nautica. I am VERY disappointed with the quality. After washing it one time, it was severely faded. After a second washing it is even more faded and the inside bunched up into big bumps. After owning this for one month, I will need to throw it away as it looks so awful. I contacted Nautica to see if they would do anything about it, and they said that since it was past the 30 day guarantee period, they will do nothing. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY!!!!!!!

If you’re trying to decorate a boy’s room without using Buzz Lightyear, Speed Racer, or other cartoon characters, this may be the comforter for you. We bought it for our 6-year-old. His room is light blue like the room in the picture. My husband wanted to paint the walls to something brighter and less feminine, but I think it looks great as is. I did have to cut slits in the bedskirt but did not hem them – its not too noticeable (imho). I probably should have hemmed the bedskirt and pillow covers as well… We have not washed it yet and, after reading the reviews, I will probably just spot clean it unless we have a throw-up situation! The navy does show stuff (I’m thinking of snot here…) All in all, I think its pretty cute and a lot cheaper than Pottery Barn! We also have the matching sheets and I like them, too.

I loved the pattern on this comforter. I realy wanted something bright with stripes and I really thought this was it. But after I received it there were several things I did not like. First the color on the striped side faded something terrible after the first wash. The solid side stayed the original color. Second the comoforter is very stiff. Next the comforter is not very wide. If you have a thicker mattress, your sheets will show on the sides of the bed. And finally, the bedskirt and pillow shams have to be ironed. I have never seen anything come out of the wash so wrinkled. Also as another reviewer mentioned, the bedskirt does not have slits. Considering how much this comforter costs compared to some others, I was very disappointed.
